Got to admit that I didn't know a lot about Verona but what a great city. Stylish with lots of great facilities and roman theatre and Colosseum that is used for performances. Visited lots including a special exhibition of Robert Capa's photography. He was principally a war correspondent from 1935 to 1954. Even if you havn't heard of him you would have seen some of his images.
Ended up on a shared table at an osteria last night. Sat with a younger Spanish couple who were still wearing their football tops. For those who are not football savvy, the euro2012 tournament has started in Poland and Italy played Spain (1 all draw) yesterday and all the bars were very busy. I even got Robyn along to watch the last 30 minutes at a bar.
Other interesting things include been in town for the annual fun run and the reenactment of the battle between the Italians and French in Verona along time ago.
