Bellagio-Jewel in the Crown
Four nights and three
wonderful days in Bellagio on Lake Como.
George calls it the ‘Jewel in the Crown’. If you don’t know George then
that is sad.
We have criss-crossed the
lakes on ferries, visited Como (more on that later), visited gardens/mansions,
had long lunches and dinners, watched Italy play in Euro2012 whilst having a
drink right on the lake. We did decide
to stay right on the lake and, yes, the ‘budget’ has been abandoned for the
week.
Como-maybe we missed the
good bits but you would never stay there with all the villages up the
lake. This area should be on everyone’s
bucket list-just bring your euros.
