Yes it rained for a little while. We visited two magnificent gardens that were many acres in size. It stopped raining and we then walked to the next village from Amalfi called Atrani. We returned through the back alleys and laneways. We had been recommended to have dinner at a local restaurant called Maccus. If you are ever here then go! Great atmosphere, virtually no English spoken and great food and wine list (cheap by Aussie standards).
We really recommend Amalfi as a place to stay-not
touristy but lots to see and experience.
Even horses working to carry out building rubble in the laneways early
in the morning. Yes I was up at 6.00am having a 1 euro espresso with my new
friends at the local tabac. Some things never change.
