Early bus from Sorrento to Amalfi. 90 minute bus ride
around hundreds of corners. Arrive at
magical Amalfi and hotel is right on square looking at the water. Noisy but
double glazing keeps it quiet at night.
Did a ‘free’ tour with the local head of the historical group. Amazing 2
hours. In the lead up to Easter there
was a procession of over 50 priests. Our guide got us into the crypt to see the
frescoes whilst all the priests were robing up for the service. Is there a collective noun for a group of disrobed
priests? Great dinner and local wines.
